Get More Clarity on Medicare Advantage Plans

Have questions about Medicare Advantage Plans? You’re not alone. Below are answers to some of the most common questions people ask when exploring coverage, enrollment, and plan options.

What's the maximum out-of-pocket cost in a year with a Medicare Advantage plan?

All Medicare Advantage plans have an annual out-of-pocket maximum for covered services. Once you reach this limit, the plan pays 100% of your covered medical costs for the rest of the year.

Medicare Advantage plans can change their benefits, networks, and costs annually. These changes are typically announced in the fall for the following calendar year.

Most Medicare Advantage plans cover emergency and urgent care services nationwide. However, routine care is generally not covered outside your plan’s service area, except in specific situations for PPOs.

Some Medicare Advantage plans, called Special Needs Plans (SNPs), are specifically designed for individuals with certain chronic conditions, offering tailored benefits and care coordination.
